Just thirty minutes by boat from Papeete, and the scenery changes completely. Eight jagged peaks rise around two deep, dramatic bays, while nowhere on the island is ever more than twenty minutes away by road.

Spend the morning exploring the Belvedere, swim with rays in the afternoon, and it quickly becomes clear why so many visitors regret having planned only two nights on Moorea.
