Rangiroa

The great sky of the Tuamotus

Wohin möchtest du reisen?

79 km² • 2 785 residents

The second-largest atoll in the world, stretching 80 km in length. The lagoon is so vast that you could lose the whole of Tahiti in it, and you can never see the opposite shore. Twice a day, the current reverses in Tiputa Pass and dolphins come to play — one of the most reliable diving encounters in the Pacific.

Even more unexpected: grapevines grow on a motu, with their roots planted in coral, and produce two harvests a year.
