Where do you want to go ?
Twelve phonolite pinnacles pierce the clouds above the island. When the skies clear, Mount Oave suddenly comes into view, revealing a landscape that ranks among the most spectacular in the Marquesas. The island is also renowned for its artisans, sculptors and musical traditions. It is home to an extraordinary geological treasure: the famous flower stones, whose crystals form petal-like patterns. According to local sources, this rare rock is found only in Ua Pou and Brazil.
Approx 4-hour flight from Tahiti via Nuku Hiva or Hiva Oa
Ua Pou’s flower stones are particularly prized by local craftspeople and sculptors, making them one of the island’s most distinctive geological treasures
