Bora Bora

The Pearl Of The Pacific

¿Adónde quieres ir?

38 km² • 10 758 residents • 727 m (Mount Otemanu)

There is a precise moment, as you cross the lagoon from the airport motu, when Mount Otemanu rises fully into view above the water. That is when Bora Bora makes its impression. The main island can be explored by car in around an hour, but its lagoon — three times larger than the island itself — can easily fill several days: coral gardens, white-sand motu, and the long stretch of Matira Beach.

Access

50-min flight from Tahiti

Good to know

The lagoon connects to the open ocean through a single pass, Teavanui, facing Vaitape.

Ideal for

Honeymoons, luxury, lagoon experiences and overwater bungalows

Not to be missed
  • Matira Beach
  • A lagoon tour by traditional canoe
  • The Coral Garden
  • A 4×4 excursion to the base of Mount Otemanu
  • The American World War II cannons
  • Vaitape market and waterfront
  • Teavanui Pass
